Chocolate origin slice cake and Joy Luck Teahouse mooncakes

Today (Wednesday) bought Chocolate origin slice cake @ S$7.80 to eat. So rich and creamy, what an indulgence! Next time I would be interested to try their lava cake.

This is their website:https://chocolate-origin.com.

Soon it will be mid autumn festival again. Time to buy and eat mooncakes. Joy Luck Teahouse's mooncakes. Maybe can buy individual piece @ S$6.50 to try. I am interested in the lychee and cassia flowers flavours. How about you? Which flavour would you be interested to try? Also, thought of buying flaky skin yam mooncakes from garden pastry this year. Stay tuned!

I didn't realize mooncake festival is only about 6 weeks away. Trying hard to avoid sweet snacks.

Yum yum! I love cakes especially chocolate cakes. So fast mooncake festival is coming. Now there are so many flavors to choose but I still prefer to stick to lotus paste or pandan flavor. I have also developed a liking for the one with nuts - kam thui. I will be buying my favorites soon.

That chocolate cake looks luscious & shiny. I'm not into mooncakes all that much as I hardly eat them. If I had to have one, it'd be one with salted egg yolk for sure.

I always love the traditional mooncakes with lotus paste and lots of salted egg yolks. My top choice is the one with nuts and porky bacon bits. I won't mind trying the lychee or cassia flowers but we don't have them here. I disliked those with green tea, yam or durians. Funny!

EWEW: I am curious and adventurous so those mooncakes advertisements tempt me into wanting to try them.

TM: I guess I am the odd one here as you, nux and PH all like the traditional lotus paste mooncakes whereas I am into those fancy flavours such as durian and yam😂😆

Reunion dinner 2021

Our simple yet delicious reunion dinner. Dishes include curry chicken (my mom's signature dish lol), assorted vegetables, fried chicken wings, bkt soup (my mom added some canned mushrooms and abalone inside the bkt soup) and Tau kee (bean curd sheets) with braised eggs and pork belly.  My sister's family came home at around 7.30pm. We had dinner straightaway. We chit chat while eating. After dinner we sat in front of the TV, watched TV programme and chit chat from 9pm to 10pm. They went home at around 10.30pm. A happy moo moo year to all my blogger friends, huat ah!!!
