I guess Panadol is one of the most consumed western medicine in the world. I have love and hate feelings for Panadol mainly because Panadol can cure my splitting headaches almost instantly every time and because it is not too good to take too much of these western medicine. Just now, I was having a terrible headache and I took 2 tablets of Panadol and in an instant, my headache is gone! As much as I hate to pop pills of Panadol, I have no choice but to take it as it cures me of headache which I cannot tolerate. Weekend is here and I wish everyone a headache-less and happy weekend :)
Sharing some of the nice quotes which I really like: Consistency is what counts, you have to be able to do things over and over again - Hank Aaron I feel every person can have everything if they are willing to work, work, work - Estee Lauder Failure is the opportunity to begin again, more intelligently - Henry Ford You can't get much done in life if you only work on the days when you feel good - Jerry West How do you find these quotes? Which one do you like most? Do share with me, I would love to hear from you.
Just went to a healing seminar by Bodhi Meditation recently at Raffles City Convention Centre but I wasn't very much impressed, I must say I am still not very convinced by the fact meditation can heal, maybe because I have not experienced the benefits myself. In this highly tensed up and stressful society, healing is necessary to keep the soul sane. But I do believe that music can heal, I love listening to soothing and relaxing music to relax and calm my spirit and soul. Others say expressing oneself through painting and art heals. How about you? What do you do to heal and calm down your spirit and soul? Draw? Listen to music? or maybe using scents (aromatherapy) or go for massage and spa? Do share with me, I would love to hear from you.
Have any one of you play with the thought of working from home. I used to dream working from home without the supervision of a boss and you don't have to wear smart and nice to work from home. I once work from home, doing freelance translation job, all you need is a computer and an internet connection. However some may feel that it is boring to work constantly at home without any interaction with people or outside parties. I guess work from home is more for introverts who feel lesser stress working from home. How about you? Have you ever dream of working from home? Do share with me, I would love to hear from you.
Today I went to a departmental store and I was there for over one hour and ended up buying nothing! Strangely, I feel that this is an achievement for me because I was able to control myself from impulse buying and ended up saving money. Why did I say love and hate for shopping? I hate shopping only because with shopping, we need to spend our hard earned money and sometimes we end up buying things we don't need aka white elephant, love shopping because I am able to buy the things I like (retail therapy). Nowadays I am more cautious in buying things as compared to last time, I try not to buy things on impulse but still sometimes I bought things which I regret later. How about you? Do you love or hate shopping and why?
Today I would like to share about a vintage furniture shop by the name Things Your Mother Throw . I like the name of the shop because it is creative and original, and sounds very suitable for a vintage furniture shop. Went to their website and understand that the items they sell are grouped into (1) seating (2) tables (3) storage and (4) unique items. These are some of the items I like as I browse through their website. I like vintage furniture because they always have a story to tell behind them and it brings back fond memories of the past. Two seater sofa in lovely turquoise Love this one because the covers are removable and washable Things Your Mother Throw will be incorporated into an multi-space with an art gallery, performance space, vintage shop, cafe and bistro in a few months' time. How about you? Do you like vintage furniture? Note: This is not a sponsored post and I am not compensated for posting this write up about the shop.
