Craving

Had a craving for chilli crabs that day, so I walked all the way to No Signboard restaurant near my house that night. When I reached there, the staff there told me they do not have stock of Sri Lanka crabs which was what we usually had, only Canadian crabs. Canadian crabs are more expensive at one small crab around S$80 compared to Sri Lanka which costs S$50. My mother says don't want cos we had not eaten Canadian crabs before. She said don't know Canadian Crabs are from which sea and maybe they eat human meat we also don't know.
So we ended up here, JB Ah Meng Kitchen. We ordered Sambal Kang Kong (S$10) and Salted Fish Steam Pork (S$12).

The Sambal Kang Kong was nice but not the Salted Fish Steam Pork. The pork was too salty for our liking and I don't like the gravy. I don't think we will order the steam pork again the next time.

I think all the seas are connected. If you are afraid then better eat crabs that are reared in the farms then.

Your mum cracked me up as she was so cute & funny to imagine crabs might be eating human meat!!!! After that humans might eat these crabs too in karmic cycles. LOLOL...

We often heard such crab farms in China's farms where crabs were fed with dead dogs, cats, ducks, chickens or any dead animals that were collected from everywhere.

I don't like eating crab at the restaurant because it is so messy.

So you did not get any crabs in the end. Time to go out again.

I'll tell my friends to take note of this JB Ah Meng Kitchen, because their salted fish steamed pork is "too salty for Singaporean", which probably means "nice for Malaysian tongue" hmm...

The first crab dish looks really good, especially with the fried mantao.. I can eat 10 fried mantaos!
