Vegetarian Fish Curry Rice

Veg Fish Curry Rice
Because today is 15th of CNY, so I decided to have vegetarian food.

As white rice is not available when I reached there, so have to order brown rice. Brown rice have to add another 80 cents, so total would be S$6.50 + S$0.80 = S$7.30, the cold barley drink costed S$1.20 so grand total is S$8.50 (Vegetarian food are not cheap).

I still prefer white rice, not used to the feel and taste of brown rice though it is healthier, find brown rice very sticky and rough, doesn't like the taste. However, the fake fish tastes very nice, I like. I don't mind this flour made fish and I enjoyed the taste. Sometimes they have to mix some vegetarian version of the non-vegetarian food with vegetables. The "vegetables" are ladyfinger and tomato, I only eat the ladyfinger not the tomato cos the tomato will be too sour after soaking in the curry.

Oh so you don't like sourish food but very ripe tomatoes are not sour at all. Good that you eat vegetarian on CNY day 15. More merits for you.

Mun: But the curry gravy is quite sourish

I have not eaten vegetarian fish curry but I do love fish curries in general. I'm a fan of sour stuffs so this will be good for me.

The brown rice is quite pricey though it is really healthy. I wonder how the curry sauce would taste with tomatoes in it.

It's true, vegetarian food is more expensive. I also prefer white rice.

Maybe they add something else into the curry to make it sourish.

SK: It is just a plain normal vegetarian restaurant, not really that upscale but it is always crowded especially on the 1st and 15th of the Lunar Month

It is very good that you often eat vegetarian. I always try to do the same but I rarely followed the 1st and 15th dates. Bad Boy!

Mun: I guess it is the tomato that makes it sourish
