Krabi Thailand Trip - Dec 29 to Dec 31, 2013

Hi guys and gals, I am back from my Krabi trip! This is how I spend my 3 days in Krabi.

Day 1 - Took the one and half hour flight from Singapore to Krabi. After we reached Krabi, we were transported to Hilltop Restaurant and Bar for our dinner. Expenses on our own, we spend Thai Baht 1215 for a meal of 2 persons. We had omelette, curry chicken, stir fried morning glory with oyster sauce and Hilltop Tom Yam soup. The price was not expensive and was affordable. Hilltop Restaurant is located at the top of a hill and you can see breathtaking scenery from the hilltop. Other than beautiful scenery, there is also a live band too. Not to forget to mention, the service was good, the waitress came to ask us and check if the food was okay. Thumbs up for their service!

After our dinner, we went to Centerpoint for the Cabaret Ladyboy show. The performers were very professional and damn farnee and comical! We enjoyed the show very much, after the show we went to take photos with the ladyboy, gosh I happened to touch the shoulders of the ladyboy and their body feel hard and muscular, of course lah, because they are actually man. The Cabaret show costed us 500 Thai Baht per person, really worth it I feel.

Day 2

Krabi 4 Island Hopping Tour by Speed Boat with Picnic Lunch

We visited Railey beach, Chicken Island, Tub Island and Poda Island with beautiful scenery and crystal clear water. We took the speedboat and the speedboat was very shaky, luckily I took some medication before the trip and hence I did not get seasick. Let the pictures do the talking, here are some pictures.

After we came back from the island hopping trip to the hotel, we took a shower and after that we took a "tuk tuk" to Centerpoint to do our shopping (I will have another post on my shopping haul from the trip). The "tuk tuk" costed us 30 Thai Baht for one person.

Day 3

We visited The Wat Thum Sir "Tiger Cave" temple, Krabi Town and Marine Fish Farm with free duck noodle lunch. We spent a very long time in the temple as I like to visit temple. We prayed to the Kwan Shi Im and made some donations. As my mobile phone batt went flat at this point of time so no pictures of the temple.

We also visited the Marine Fish Farm, here are some pictures.

The tour guides all mistook and said that I looked like Thai people, LOL. After this trip, I also learned how to count one to ten in Thai language.

Review of the hotel

Pictures on all websites are much better than what it currently is. Room is quite spacious but need maintenance, and red ants are always there. Oh gosh, in my life, I most scare of red ants. There are also many mosquitoes inside the room and worms crawl into the room, I was so scared as I am always afraid of insects. A/c is a problem and take hours to get cool. The hotel staff does not really understand English and they were not so friendly. Breakfast were only fried rice, sausages and omelette. On the whole I will give the hotel only a rating of 3 out of 10.

But the whole, even though the hotel was not so satisfactory, I enjoyed this trip as the itinerary was quite fully packed with activities and we did have our free time to go shopping.

Hope you enjoyed my travelouge and update, happy new year everyone!!!
